Why does he paint and draw? Because he wants people to see and feel in his art the same thing he has felt and seen, and for them to be drawn into the emotion of the scene. He wants people to feel the coolness of the mountain air, to smell the horses, to feel the heat of the farmers sweating in the fields, to taste the sweat from hard work, and to feel the bone-jarring impacts of the rodeo rough stock riders.
Painting and drawing gives him the opportunity to observe in detail God's creation and he hopes that his art work can inspire those who see it to appreciate God's beautiful world.
